Leap of Joie's 2019-2020 Dance Season will be exciting and rewarding. It will offer a great opportunity for dancers to hone their skills and broaden their dance experiences while learning from other dancers. We are open to dancers of all skill, age, and experience levels. Each day, we will take time to focus on the students' skills while developing their natural talent. They will get an opportunity to learn ballet, jazz, modern, tap, pre-pointe, and choreography each week. It will be an awesome experience. We'd love to have you join us!

FAQ:

1. How long will the students be dancing? 

Each day, we will do Ballet for 45 min. and either Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, or Pre-Pointe for the next 45 min.

2. Will there be snacks?

We ask that each student brings their own snacks and water each day. Please provide a list of allergies or any other needed information in your child's lunchbox. We would love to stay responsible and aware to keep each student safe.

3. What should they wear?

Attire is black leotards, pink convertible tights, and pink ballet shoes (ballet), black tap shoes (tap), black jazz shoes (jazz), foot paws (modern) . Dance skirts are allowed, but get a black leotard with no skirt attached as well. Pants or shorts are allowed for jazz and tap. Tan tights and other colored leotards are allowed on Thursdays. Uniformity and excellence is important.

4. How should they wear their hair?

It should be in a bun preferably. They are allowed to let it out to a ponytail or loose hair style for modern, jazz, and tap. 

5. What time should I pick up my child?

Please arrive by 7:40pm every Tuesday/Thursday and wait patiently outside the door. We will be sure to end on time. Class ends at 7:45pm.

6. What is the sign out process?

Please come to the classroom as you are let in, sign out their name, and wait patiently on the side of the classroom as class closes out. 

7. How do I pay for the dance season?

We accept all forms of payment. Cash, Cashapp ($VyctoriJoie), Venmo (leapofjoie@gmail.com), Paypal (leapofjoie@gmail.com), Wellsfargo Zelle (Vyctori.Anderson2014@gmail.com)

 

8. How much is it for the dance season?

It is a  $50 registration fee and a range of prices based on classes selected. You receive an additional 5% off per each registered referral. Follow and stay updated with @leapofjoie on Facebook or Instagram for seasonal discounts. 

9. How long is the dance season? 

We will do Fall/Spring semester. August 6th-December 9th  and January 6th-May 24th. We will follow the Cobb County School calendar, including breaks. 

10. Are there any refunds?

There are no refunds.

 

11. When is all money due?

Registration is due the 1st of every month. Registration fee of $50 is due upon registration. We will have open registration all year long. There will be an additional $5 for every late payment. 

12. What time should they arrive?

Arrive at least 15 minutes early everyday. They should use that time to stretch and warm up.

13. What kind of dance styles are there?

We will focus on ballet technique along with jazz, modern, lyrical, pre-pointe, and tap. The room for growth will be endless.

14. Who do I contact?

15. Do they have to attend all the classes?

They should have no more than 3 absences in a row. More than 3 absences will ensue removal from the class roster unless return date is communicated. Regular class attendance aids to the dancers success. 

16. Where should I drop-off my child?

Please bring your child inside of the South Cobb Rec Center to the classroom. Please ensure Vyctori Bess is in the room before you drop them off. The children's safety is important. 

17. Do I have to sign-in or sign-out my child?

No, I will do roll-call. You must fill out a pick-up authorization form (included on your online sign in sheet). Whoever you choose to pick up your child must be listed on this form. Your child will not be able to leave the building with anyone not listed on the pick-up authorization form. 

18. How will you contact the parents?

Emails will be sent for updates and announcements. Text messages will be sent for on-hand communication and updates. To stay informed, text @leapofjoie to 81010 then download the "Remind App".

19. How do I register for the dance season?

20. How do I get involved?

We would love to have parental support. Please click the "Sign Up" button above to volunteer. We will need volunteers for upcoming performances and more. Family support will encourage your dancer's involvement.
