Welcome to Leap of Joie Dance Studio where young dancers build poise, confidence, and joy through dance. We are excited to bring a fun, structured dance program to the Douglasville community for ages 3-18.
We are currently accepting dancers for our Founding Dancer Waitlist.

Ballet & Jazz
Cost $85/month
Ages 3-5
This class will continue to introduce younger students to basic, intermediate, and advance ballet and tap vocabulary and technique in a structured yet fun setting. Simple coordination, musicality, rhythm, and concentration will be emphasized. Students will learn more difficult combinations, work at the ballet barre, and learn ballet etiquette. Tap is a great change of pace for dancers who have had significant training and want to enhance their dynamics and versatility. This class as a fun way to enhance coordination, rhythm, and performance skills.
Class Offering:
Mondays and Wednesdays 4:15-5:00pm
Uniform:
Girls: Approved purple leotard, pink convertible tights, pink leather ballet shoes, and black tap shoes
Boys: White spandex shirt, black dance pants/shorts, white canvas shoes, and black tap shoes

Ballet, Jazz, & Intro to Tap
Cost $85/month
Ages 3-5

Ballet, Jazz, & Lyrical

Ages 10-13
Lyrical dance is a combination of classical ballet, jazz, and modern dance which transforms words into visual art. Students will learn to dance expressively, being both subtle and dynamic, while conveying musicality and emotion through movement. This class will push students to cultivate their skills for movement while adding in the emotional element to the performance of lyrical and contemporary styles of dance. This class will build on foundational movements taught in ballet and jazz.

Creative Movement & Ballet Basics
Cost $85/month
Ages 3-5
Creative Movement & Ballet Basics is a combination of various dance styles and ballet basics to express themselves through combination pieces. Students will learn to dance rhythmically and choreograph dance combinations using taught dance moves. This class will encourage students to have fun and feel the rhythm of the beat.
Class Offering:
Tuesday and Thursdays 4:15-5pm
Uniform:
Girls: Approved purple leotard, tan convertible tights, black leather jazz shoes, pink leather ballet shoes, and black socks. Black shorts/black pants (for creative movement only)
Boys: White fitted shirt, black leather jazz shoes, white canvas shoes, black shorts or pants, and black socks.

Jazz & Tap
Cost $85/month
Ages 6-9
Jazz and Tap dance is fun and energetic! Jazz will include a warm-up with stretching, isolations, strengthening exercises, and moves across the floor. Students will learn turns, leaps, jumps, and combinations set to age appropriate music. Tap is a great change of pace for dancers who have had significant training and want to enhance their dynamics and versatility. This class as a fun way to enhance coordination, rhythm, and performance skills.
