Ballet

This class will continue to introduce younger students to basic, intermediate, and advance ballet vocabulary and technique in a structured yet fun setting. Simple coordination, musicality, rhythm, and concentration will be emphasized. Students will learn more difficult combinations, work at the ballet barre, and learn ballet etiquette.

Uniform:
Girls: Approved black leotard. Pink convertible tights and pink leather ballet shoes.
Boys: White fitted shirt with black tights and white calf height socks. White canvas shoes.
Jazz
Length 45 min
Cost $65/month
Jazz dance is fun and energetic! The class will include a warm-up with stretching, isolations, strengthening exercises, and moves across the floor. Students will learn basic turns, leaps, jumps, and runs set to age appropriate music.

Lyrical & Modern/Contemporary

Lyrical dance is a combination of classical ballet, jazz, and modern dance which transforms words into visual art. Students will learn to dance expressively, being both subtle and dynamic, while conveying musicality and emotion through movement. This class will push students to cultivate their skills for movement while adding in the emotional element to the performance of lyrical and contemporary styles of dance.

Girls: Approved black leotard. Tan convertible tights and tan foot paws. Black shorts are optional.
Boys: White fitted shirt with black knee length shorts and black socks.
Tap
Length 45 min
Cost $65/month
Tap is a great change of pace for dancers who have had significant training and want to enhance their dynamics and versatility. Dancers with previous tap experience of 2-3 years will enjoy this class as a fun way to enhance coordination, rhythm, and performance skills.

Pre-Pointe

Cost $65/month
Pre-Pointe class is to strengthen the muscles needed for students to progress to Pointe. For prima ballerinas, Pointe is a top-tier goal that many want to accomplish to expand their dance expertise. At least five years of ballet or an intensive three years of ballet is required to join Pointe class (which will be later added to our class repertoire). Students will learn intermediate and advanced ballet vocabulary and technique in a structured yet fun setting. Simple coordination, musicality, rhythm, and concentration will be emphasized. Students will learn more difficult combinations, work at the ballet barre, and learn ballet etiquette.
